How can I get more involved with Big Shoulders?

Whether you are new to Big Shoulders or are just looking to give back more, there are a ton of ways to learn about and get involved with the students and schools we serve. We're always looking for volunteers, mentors, and tutors.  Become a member of the Auxiliary Board or commit to being a Patron at a Big Shoulders Fund school, or join us at one of our networking events to learn more about us in person.

How do I apply for a scholarship for my child?

There are over 30 different types of Big Shoulders Fund scholarships for both elementary and high schools in Chicago.  These scholarships vary in duration and amount depending on the type of scholarship.

Contact the principal of your local Big Shoulders Fund school to discuss your eligibility and the application process.  We work directly with school personnel and will not accept applications directly from parents/guardians.  Please understand that submitting an application through the school does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded.  Typically, requests exceed the resources available, but all applications are given consideration.

How do I get a login for the BSF Net secure site?

If you are a principal, marketing and development director, board member, mentor, auxiliary board member, board development committee member, or patron, then we can assign a login for you.  As of right now BSF Net is only available to specific groups.

Please contact the website administrator at info@bigshouldersfund.org. We will respond to your request as soon as possible.
